Having entered the 2024 NFL season, Marvin Harrison, the youngest, as expected, will begin work and become a direct star. But it didn’t work like that. Instead, Harrison caught only one passage of 4 yards in his first game in the NFL, he had less than 40 yards in six of 17 games and finished the season with 62 catching 885 yards. He scored eight captures of landing, but he had only 53.4%, for the fact that he is a trade union border and on average only 7.3 yards per target.
In other words, Harrison was solid – and somewhat productive – but not impressive. His defender, Kayler Murray, feels that there is more meat on the bones so that Harrison is even better.
“So that he has eight landings and feels that he did not even scratch the surface, it says something,” Murray said through Cardinals Corner Arizona Sports. “Obviously, I and he should be better, and we will be better. But I liked where he was mentally at the end of the season. To be more open, to be more comfortable with guys in the locker room, more comfortable with me, is more comfortable, just to express your opinion in the reception room C (Israel Wullfly and Drew Terrell). ”
During the season, there were clearly some pains on growing for the connection of Murrey-Harrison, as evidenced by the low level of the catch. But Harrison also, obviously, entered the league with huge expectations, which were long for his stunning stake in college and his genealogy as the son of the legend of Indianapolis Colts and the glory of professional football, Marvin Harrison, so the relative lack of the game at the level of stars was amazing.
“I understand him in the sense that he has this name, and he just wants to enter and prove himself,” Murray told about the future of the second year. “People say that he is not talkative. Well, they would say that I have not been talkative of my newcomer year, because all I wanted to do is come and show the guys who I stand where they chose me and who I am. So, I understand this part of his personality. But, when he becomes more comfortable, he is going to continue to grow. I really believe in it. “
Harrison will almost certainly enter the season of 2025 as one of the two best goals of Murray, as well as with the hard end of Trei McBride. He and Murray, of course, need to get on the same page more often so that their connection is more effective, and if what it took, then Harrison is more comfortable in his own skin, then this is a good sign that Murray says that it has become larger by the end of the season. But we will have to wait until they return to the field to find out.
