The legend of Los Angeles Dodgers Manny Mota is responsive and is conveniently resting after a stroke, the club announced on Tuesday. “Dad never lost consciousness during the incident and is currently successful,” said ESPN, broadcaster Jose Mota, son of Manny Mota.

Manny Mota, 87 years old, spent parts of 20 seasons in the MLB, and 13 of these seasons came with the docters. Initially, he was signed by the then new York giants from his native Dominican Republic in 1957 at only 19 years old. Over two decades, in Mayors, the Mota gathered more than 1000 hits – including 52 triples – and broke 0.304. He received the selection of All-Star as a member of Dodgers in 1973. He spent more than the last half a century with Dodgeers as a player, coach and broadcaster.

In addition to the game for giants in his first season, the 1962 MLB, and then The Dodgers, the Mota was also suitable for Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos. In June 1969, the Dodders acquired Mota from Montreal in trade, which also returned Mori Wills to the organization. Mota resigned after the 1982 season with a career war 17.4 in MLB.

The Mota was introduced in Legends of Dodger Baseball in 2023.

“This is a great honor and a great privilege, and I am very grateful to the dodes for chosen me as a legend of Baseball Dodger,” he said at that time in a statement. “I do not consider myself a legend, just another person who always tried to contribute to the Dodders and give everything possible. I am humble and very much appreciate what the dooders do for me. I consider the Dodger stadium, my house is far from the house, and I consider myself the adoptive son of the Dodger organization. ”
