The MLB offseason is here, and with it comes an insane amount of free agent signings. Or maybe less madness and more long hours of work until March (if you’re lucky). However, there is something for everyone: batters, aces, contact guys, closers. Whatever you are looking for, it is on the market.
Juan Soto, a 26-year-old superstar, tops the list of top free agents. His market is expected to turn into a New York battle between the Mets and Yankees, although all 30 teams should covet his services. Will Blake Snell have better luck in his second straight year on the market after opting out of his contract with the Giants? Can a team trust Anthony Santander’s explosiveness enough to give him a multi-year contract? What about the resurgence of Gleyber Torres? Can Max Scherzer stay healthy? All these and many other questions will be dictated in winter.
